What is SPANSM?

The Specialized Psychiatric Assessment Network (SPANSM) is an integral and expanding service of PDC. This service is unique in the assessment of complex psychiatric claims. Our licensed psychologists strive to enhance traditional case management by obtaining an objective understanding of the claim through direct contact with the claimant, treating provider and other interested third parties.

SPANSM consultants are highly qualified licensed clinical specialists with extensive practice backgrounds. These psychologists have forensic experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues. This places them in a unique position to address:

  • Clinical factors
  • Motivational factors
  • Situational factors
  • Occupational factors
  • Medical claims with psychological factors
